Don't know. But I hope he gets a fair shake somewhere next year. Personally, I don't like the 2 back system. Parker averaged 23 carries this year - used to be, every starting rb averaged more carries than that. I imagine it's hard to get in the rhythym averaging 7 carries per game.
Definately, most backs hit that stride in the 3rd and 4th qtrs when the defense is worn down. Most backs say they need at least 25 touches to get into a good rhythm.
I agree. But I guess I'm old school - I still love the running game that utilizes a blocking back.
You have to have at least two good backs to win a Super Bowl.

I understand what you are saying but Belicheck was a head coach in Cleveland, got canned and ended up as a defensive coordinator for several years before getting another shot.
That makes 2 of us boney...and you don't need 2 good backs to win a SB...it's been done plenty of times before with only 1..and sometimes none.
The difference is he ended up in a perfect situation....and he is the exception...and it only happened once...not 3 times..lol
its not so much that you even need a good running back but its a hell of alot easier to win with Derrick Ward and Ryan Grant when you have a great line. All 4 teams left have terrific olines and SD would normally have Lorenzo Neal to go along with a good line. All 4 teams committed to running the ball and all 4 teams won. The teams that abandon the run are the ones that deserve to lose. Its hard to run the ball when you dont try to run the ball.
IMO, all championships are won and lost on the O and D line.
yeah pretty much. Brady has all day long to throw the ball. I remember watching the superbowl last year and Grossman got hammered for throwing a pick 6 but he was getting swallowed up all day long. Freeney and those dudes were bringing the heat. An O line is even more important when you are a quarterback thats only 6 feet tall.
If there is one unit that Im very impressed with this season, its the Giants o-line. I thought they would completely suck going into the season and they have really helped Eli alot by creating an excellent run game. That takes alot of pressure off of him and he usually has time to throw the ball,aside from missing Shockey, Eli really couldnt be in a better situation with what he has.
